Glasgow "Walkabout"

Top two photos: Every statue has a traffic cone on either the person's or horse's head. Scott, Diane and I thought that was pretty funny. We all had our fill with fish and chips! Diane and I at the golden gate and it happened to be open. Scott taking notes in the Necropolis. Diane and Scott on the bridge to the Necropolis. Buchanan Street on a Friday night. Tens of thousands of people out for a nice evening of wine (beer) women and "hooping and hollering"! Notice the heavy steel screen that the Police vehicles can lower when the NEDS decide to throw things. Who said Glasgow wasn't cosomopolitan! They all say Edinborough is far nicer but this town will be a hard act to follow. We will definitely se and report back. Stay tuned...

Awesome photos, looks like fun!!! In some photos it looks cool but those flowers are beautiful. I hope you are never in a situation where you see the windshield screen deployed! :)

hey Rod! They really have turned this city around. There are still problems in some parts of the City but for the most part everything is great-security wise. Lots of Police presence and if there is a sign of any trouble they have van loads of uniformed officers (8 in a vehicle ) that race to the boisterous crowd and make their presense well known. Everyone seems very friendly! If you are wearing any gang type clothing or are sporting any team colours you are simply "personna no grata" in any of the nice establishments.

What about plaid? That should be okay right? Scott is rocking that.

Ranting and raving about life here in Grand Bay, New Brunswick.
